Flights between Larnaca and Pafos airports to airports in the UK are carried out smoothly, Maria Kouroupi, Senior Manager Aviation Development, Marketing & Communications at Hermes Airports told the CNA.

She added that "following the problem that occurred on Monday, August 28th with the air traffic monitoring system in the United Kingdom, resulting in the cancellation of thousands of flights to various destinations, flights to Larnaca and Pafos airports have returned to their normal flow."

She said "yesterday, August 31st, there were no delays in flights to and from the United Kingdom. Flights to and from the UK from both airports in Cyprus are not experiencing any problems and are now operating smoothly."

The problem in the air traffic monitoring system in the United Kingdom, affected a total of 24 flights at Larnaca Airport, of which six were canceled but later rescheduled.

As for Paphos Airport, a total of 21 flights were affected, of which four were canceled, but they were also rescheduled and carried out as planned.
