The disagreement between the government and Cyta workers is confirmed after the meeting of President Anastasiades with the leaders of the five trade unions that are organized in Cyta.
The government, as the president has stated, insists on the creation of Cyta Ltd private company, with trade unions stating their complete disagreement.
During the meeting at the presidential palace, Mr. Anastasiades made clear that the government maintains its position on the privatization of the authority.
The leaderships of trade unions expressed their disagreement and called on the government to remove the privatization of Cyta from prerequisites.
President Anastasiades, according to the leaderships of trade unions, stated categorically that no prerequisite arising from the review of the economic program will be deleted.
He clarified that neither the prerequisite about the EAC has been removed.
Trade unions will assess developments after the completion of their contacts with parliamentary parties and form their strategy for dynamic measures.
