Cyprus maintained the highest rate of deflation among EU countries in November 2015, according to Eurostat data.
According to the figures, inflation in Cyprus was –1.5% in November 2015 from -1.8% in October 2015 and 0.0% in November 2014.
Prices fell in 11 other EU countries while they remained stable in Czech Republic and Latvia.
The highest rates of deflation were recorded apart from Cyprus, in Romania, Bulgaria and Slovenia (-0,9% in each).
Euro area annual inflation reached 0.2% in November 2015 from 0.1% in October 2015. In November 2014 the rate was 0.3%.
European Union annual inflation reached 0,1% from 0% in October and 0,3% in November of last year.
In Greece, inflation remained at -0.1% as it was in October.
The highest annual rates were recorded in Belgium (1.4%), Malta (1.3%) and Sweden (0,8%).
