Stavros Zenios announced on Friday morning his resignation from his position as non-executive Board member of the Central Bank of Cyprus.
“I cannot be an impassive member of an institution that is satisfied with an administrative logic of processing procedures, rather than policy-making and influencing decisions at local and European level leading to the exit from the crisis”, he says on his blog.
“My resignation constitutes my final act as an active board member of the Central Bank of Cyprus”, he concludes.
Mr. Zenios will hold a press conference later.
