University of Limassol is delighted to announce the establishment of its new Department of Psychology under the Social Sciences and Humanities School. The establishment of the new Department of Psychology comes just one year after the university's opening, demonstrating the rapid growth and commitment to expanding its academic horizons. In just a short period of time, the university has evolved into a hub of educational excellence and innovation, attracting a diverse body of students, and faculty, committed to academic and research excellence. This evolution embodies its motto, "Ever Evolving," reflecting its dedication to continuous growth and transformation.
The Department of Psychology offers the following programs:
Bachelor of Science in Psychology: This program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted discipline of psychology. Offering a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, the program ensures students receive a well-rounded education.
Central to the program’s mission is the cultivation of ethical awareness and responsible conduct among students. Whether engaged in psychological research or professional practice, students are guided towards ethical behavior, fostering integrity and respect in all interactions with individuals and groups.
Students have the option to select one of the below tracks:
- General Psychology
- Clinical and Counselling Psychology
- Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience
Master of Science in Educational Psychology: This graduate program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the field, encompassing both theoretical knowledge and practical applications. Adapted to meet evolving needs, the program incorporates the latest advancements and emphasizes inclusion and diversity.
Designed for individuals from diverse backgrounds, the program includes real-world case studies, interactive learning, and hands-on experiences to prepare students for professional challenges. Additionally, mentorship opportunities and research development support are available to enhance professional growth. The Program is delivered in distance learning mode, providing flexibility and accessibility without compromising on quality.
Both programs are nationally accredited by CYQAA and recognized by KYSATS.
