The Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage during the third quarter of 2024 reached 145.1 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 2% compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Wednesday.
By economic activity, increases relative to the third quarter of the previous year were observed in water transport (10.7%), in land transport (7.1%), in postal and courier activities (4.1%) and in warehousing and support activities for transportation (1.3%), while a decrease recorded in air transport (-2.9%).
During the period January-September 2024, the Turnover Value Index of Transport and Storage recorded an increase of 1.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
