In November 2023, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 119,253 tonnes, recording an increase of 3.7% compared to November 2022, according to data published by the Statistical Service on Thursday.
A 25.8% rise was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene, as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil (28.4%), road diesel (6.6%) and motor gasoline (6%).
On the contrary, a 17.4% decrease was observed in the sales of light fuel oil, asphalt (5.2%), heating gasoil (3.7%), kerosene (2.9%) and liquified petroleum gases (1.5%).
As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have registered an increase of 4.5% to 56,282 tonnes.
The total sales of petroleum products in November 2023 compared to October 2023 recorded a drop of 8.7%. Indicatively, the provisions of aviation kerosene decreased by 40.5% and the sales of motor gasoline by 2.3% while on the contrary, the sales of road diesel rose by 2.7% and so did the sales of heating oil (55.1%) and kerosene (88.6%).
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of November 2023 increased by 2%, compared to the end of the previous month.
During the period January – November 2023, the total sales of petroleum products marginally increased by 0.3%, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
