In September 2024, the total sales of petroleum products amounted to 130,124 tonnes, recording a slight decrease of 0.4% compared to September 2023.
According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, a decrease was recorded in the provisions of marine gasoil (-2.5%), as well as in the sales of kerosene (-62.3%), light fuel oil (-17.7%), asphalt (-9.7%), heating gasoil (-2.1%) and liquefied petroleum gases (-0,6%).
On the contrary, an increase was observed in the provisions of aviation kerosene (2.4%), as well as in the sales of heavy fuel oil (52.6%), motor gasoline (3.8%) and road diesel (2.3%). As far as the sales from filling stations are specifically concerned, these have increased by 2.9% to 57,914 tonnes.
The total sales of petroleum products in September 2024 compared to August 2024 recorded a rise of 4.4%. Indicatively, an increase was recorded in the sales of road diesel (11.3%) and gasoline (1.2%), yet the provisions of aviation kerosene have decreased by 8.8%.
The total stocks of petroleum products at the end of September 2024 rose by 31.1% compared to the end of the previous month.
During the period January – September 2024, the total sales of petroleum products increased by 1.1% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
