The CSE general index has experienced considerable profits of 1.4% today, reaching 84.8 points and reducing this week’s losses to 0.9%. FTSE20 – mostly influenced by the Bank of Cyprus that had gains of 1.7% or 2 cents – closed at 330 points and +1.5%.
Today’s volume was CYP 654 thousand and Phil Andreou has been the most marketable share (27.3%) due to three pre-agreed packages that totaled CYP 168 thousand. Similarly, today BOC attracted a considerable investor’s interest with turnover 22% of the total volume. Both PHIL and BOC experienced gains with Phil closing at 13.6 cents (+2.3%) and BOC at CYP 1.20 respectively.
The Popular Bank (third largest turnover of the day, 9.9%) experienced profits of 1.9% and reached CYP 1.09, while Louis (4.3%) and Hadjiioannou Farm (4.1%) were also fairly marketable today.. LCL – with gains of 1.5% - closed at 13.9 cents, while FRH – with losses 1% dropped to 9.6 cents.
Tsokkos Hotels – with 3.8% marketability and gains of 1.9% - reached 15.8 cents, while the Hellenic Bank – with 3.6% marketability and gains of 1.4% - closed at 71 cents. Finally, the Bank of Cyprus warrants - with the most considerable profits of the day, +3.9% and 2.7% of the turnover – closed at 18.8 cents.
RAI Consultants Services Ltd will soon appear on the trading floor as – according to a CSE announcement – it has accepted the listing of 11,428,573 company shares. RAI is the seventh company to be listed in the CSE in 2002 and its trading will commence on October 4. The company’s code will be RAI and it will be listed in the “Other Companies” sector.
