In a circular released to all governmental departments and independent services of the public sector, the government asked for the drastic decrease in power consumption.
According to the letter of the Manager of the Public Administration and Staff Department, due to the damages of the Vassiliko power plant, the production of energy has dropped drastically and, therefore, all governmental departments and services must take measures immediately.
Specifically, they are instructed to switch off all air condition systems and machines or lights that are not necessary during work.
At the same time, they were asked to activate any generators they have, after having disconnected from the power supply network.
Also, they are called to take all necessary actions for the reduction of the load in the production and transfer system and to use lifts only if this is absolutely necessary.
