Four flights – two departures and two arrivals to and from Paphos Airport and Gatwick in the UK – have been cancelled today due to the bad weather conditions in the United Kingdom and the Western Europe.
In his statements, Airport Spokesman, Adamos Aspris said that Western Europe is still suffering by the bad weather conditions, which affect the flights to and from the UK for the second consecutive day. “Yesterday in the afternoon, one more arrival and departure to and from Doncaster was cancelled”, he said.
Today, four more flights have been cancelled, two departures and two arrivals, to and from Gatwick. Those flights concern Paphos International Airport only. So far, the flight schedule of Larnaca International Airport has not been affected.
It is worth noting that the strong snowfalls and the zero degrees have frozen almost all Europe and the airports of Britain, France and Switzerland remain closed for the second consecutive day.
The airports of Edinburgh, Gatwick, Leeds and Doncaster remained closed for a second day.
The airport of Geneva in Switzerland and Grenoble in France are closed too.
