A small drop of approximately 3% was foreseen yesterday in tourist traffic by Minister of Development Akis Tsochatzopoulos, who “picked up the ball” from deputy Minister of Tourism D. Georgakopoulos.
According to the data presented yesterday by Mr. Tsochatzopoulos, the number of tourists visiting from certain countries this year, presents fluctuations in comparison to last year.
Specifically, English tourists have increased by 10% in relation to 2002, Austrians by 25%, while there are similar increases in the French and Italian.
In contrast, there is a problem with German tourists, who are estimated to be 5%-10% less than last year.
