Shipping Deputy Minister, Marina Hadjimanolis, is travelling to Dubai on Friday, where she will address the "Shaping the Future of Shipping" summit, following an official invitation by the International Chamber of Shipping and the Emirates Shipping Association.
The summit is taking place in the framework of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC - COP28) and is organised by the International Chamber of Shipping under the patronage of the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, a Deputy Ministry of Shipping press release said.
Hadjimanolis "will participate in a Ministerial Dialogue on the impacts of climate change and how it affects the shipping sector, as well as on collaborations between governments to find solutions to achieve acceleration of decarbonisation," the press release concluded.
