Shipping Deputy Minister, Marina Hadjimanolis, departs today for Miami, USA, at the invitation of Royal Caribbean, one of the largest groups worldwide operating in the cruise sector.
An official press release said the invitation from Royal Caribbean is part of the prospect of strengthening the group's cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Shipping, following the registration of the first cruise ship in the Cyprus registry in 2023 and the opening of the company's office in Limassol in October, which is the company's center of activities in the Eastern Mediterranean.
During her visit to Miami, the Deputy Minister of Shipping will meet members of the Cypriot Diaspora who are professionally active in the USA. Hadjimanolis will be accompanied by Ambassador of Cyprus to the US, Evangelos Savva.
