After several weeks of strong negotiations, low-budget Irish air company Ryanair agreed to include Cypriots in its itineraries.

According to CAN, Ryanair took its final decision last night and informed Hermes Airports accordingly.

Invited to comment on the latest reports, airport spokesman, Adamos Aspris confirmed them, stressing that it is a significant development. “The arrival of Ryanair will enrich further the air connection of Cyprus with Europe and will contribute to the efforts for the increase in tourist arrivals in our country”, he said.

Ryanair decided to announce its decision tomorrow on August 18 within the framework of a press conference in Nicosia.

The efforts were made by Hermes Airports, the CTO and the government.

The Irish air carrier is regarded as one of the three largest airlines in Europe.
