Purpose Communications is excited to announce the final selection of three Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for the second cycle of the Purpose Academy training program. The selected organizations are the “Zero Waste Alliance,” “ADHD Cyprus,” and the “Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family” (SPAVO). These CSOs have been chosen through a rigorous assessment process to receive training in strategic communications and public image enhancement.
The enthusiastic response to Purpose Communications' invitation to join the second cycle of Purpose Academy highlights the critical need to support CSOs in overcoming strategic communication challenges and enhancing the skills of their employees and volunteers. This initiative aims to equip these organizations with the necessary tools to plan and execute effective communication strategies that promote their causes. The assessment process considered various criteria, including the specific needs outlined in each CSO's application, with an emphasis on selecting organizations operating in different fields. The training program will be delivered by Purpose Communications' experts, along with other professionals in Public Relations and Communications, who have generously offered their knowledge and expertise on a pro bono basis.
Dimitris Ioannides, Founder and CEO of Purpose Communications, stated: “We are thrilled to continue providing our expertise pro bono to support and elevate civil society for a second consecutive year. The large number of applications we received this year underscores the increasing relevance of Purpose Academy, as NGOs seek assistance in communicating their crucial work. We are proud to play a role in strengthening and empowering the voices of civil society organisations.”
The second cycle of the Purpose Academy program for 2024 will span six months, featuring workshops led by Purpose Communications' experts and personalized one-on-one meetings with each CSO. Participants will attend one workshop per month, covering a wide range of topics, including Public Relations, Writing/Storytelling, Media Relations Development, Digital Communications, Advocacy and Stakeholder Relations, and more.
