The bi-ministerial committee decided on Wednesday to promote the 11 pending applications for the construction of golf courts, after the inflow of €4 million to the state coffers from the issue of the three urban planning permits.

“The applications of two more golf courts are in mature stages and the owners will secure a permit soon”, Commerce Minister, Antonis Paschalides stated after the meeting.

“Karapatakis has already secured a permit few months ago paying €1.million as first installment of the total €5 million that each permit costs, for the golf course in Tersefanou”, he said.

The two other permits, for which €2.4 million have been paid as first installment, concern the businesses of Theodoros Aristodemou.

The participants in the bi-ministerial committee are Commerce Minister, Antonis Paschalides, Interior Minister, Neoclis Silikiotis and Communications Minister, Erato Markouli.

“The three Ministers were informed on the stage of each project and took the relevant decisions on their promotion the soonest possible”, Mr. Paschalides stated.

They decided to call each businessman separately and inform him on what is still missing for the issue of the necessary permit.

At the same time, they instructed the competent authorities to hasten the procedures so that constructions start the soonest possible.
