Major issue of todays’ financial press is the investigation undertaken by the Parliamentary Audit Sub-Committee to examine the files of the Central Bank for all liquidations and currency exports made by foreign citizens during 1999-2000. According to reports, there is no evidence concerning the involvement of Cypriot citizens “hiding” behind foreign citizens that liquidated Cyprus Stock Exchange shares exporting currency during 1999-2000.
