Main issue of today’s financial press is the Corporate Governance Code presented by CSE’s Board of Directors during yesterday’s press conference and its entanglement in the renewal of CYTA employees union collective agreements that will most propably lead to strikes.

According to the report, unions believe that the Ministry of Finance acts from expediency and they state that “for the benefit of the new mobile phone company in Cyprus, there is a joint effort to disturb the Organization’s healthy climate.” It is noted that main obstacle against the agreement is staff’s request to consolidate A13 scales. The Ministry of Finance rejected the request, as this would result to other similar requests by employers in the public sector..
