President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides departs on Saturday for Cairo where he will participate, at the invitation of the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in the international Peace Conference on the current situation in the Middle East.
A written statement by Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis says that leaders of countries and organizations from around the world, including the Middle East and the Gulf, Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean, Africa and beyond, have been invited and will also participate in the Conference, as well as the UN Secretary-General and leaders of EU institutions.
In the framework of the Conference, the President of Egypt will host a working lunch while on the sidelines of the Conference, President Christodoulides will hold bilateral contacts with heads of state or government.
The Cypriot President will be accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Government Spokesman and the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President.
President Christodoulides will return to Cyprus on Saturday evening.
