Minister of Transport, Communication and Works Marios Demetriades said on Thursday that the agreements for the commercialisation of the Limassol port activities will be signed on the 25th of April.
In statements after today's Cabinet meeting, that convened under President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades, the Minister told journalists that the signing of the agreements concerns the services of the Container Terminal, the Multipurpose Terminal and Marine Services.
He pointed out that the transitional period for the transfer of the operation of the above services will take around nine months.
Asked about the relocation of energy companies to the Limassol port, Demetriades said that Total, already began a bid for services for their drilling purposes.
As regards the other two companies, Noble and EMI, he said that the government has held a series of meetings with them to see what facilities are needed for their relocation to Limassol.
