Police: £2.4 mln from traffic offences

According to the Annual Report of the Cyprus Police Force, the state has received £2.4 million in 2002 from the extrajudicial regulation of traffic violations.

Overall, the police have reported 91.467 traffic offences in 2002, that is, 251 offences per day average (15,261 in Nicosia, 12,378 in Famagusta, 19,161 in Limassol, 9,103 in Larnaca, 8,855 in Paphos, 535 in Morphou and 26,174 at the Headquarters).
