The police authorities in Cyprus are on the alert for possible crime waves during summer. According to CNA, within the framework of the meeting of the ministerial committee for the reconstruction of Artemida, Justice and Public Order Minister, Kypros Chrysostomides said that all tourist areas will be supported with more police forces.
“Due to the increase in the number of tourists in the tourist areas, the risk for an increase in criminality is high”, he said.
“Ayia Napa, for example, will be supported by MMAD forces”, he added.
Invited to comment on the concerns for the Romanian gang with the ATM cards, the Minister said that it is an alarming phenomenon that concerns internet crimes which are very popular lately.
