Investigations on fuel prices are extended to oil prices.
The decision was taken at today’s meeting of the Advisory Committee, members of which evaluated the results of the investigation in response to recent increases in fuel prices.
In her statements to StockWatch, Director of Competition and Consumer Protection Service, Froso Hadjilouka, she said that they decided to establish a team of technocrats from the energy and consumer protection services to launch investigations on oil companies as from tomorrow in order to determine whether there was an unjustified increase in fuel prices or not.
Mr. Hadjilouca noted that the Monitoring Committee of fuel prices had made an assessment of fuel prices based on a formula of data. “Today the information was updated and new data will be added when the investigation is launched.
The results will be out in mid August.
