At the meeting between the Employers’ and Industrialists’ Federation (OEB) and representatives from the Greek Economic and Social Committee (OKE), the two parties had talks on issues related to the labour and social policy in Cyprus and the EU.
According to an OEB announcement released today, the Greek representatives expressed the possibility of an introduction of a similar Committee in Cyprus.
“OEB expressed its reservations on the usefulness and advisability of a similar Committee in Cyprus since the labour relations system and the level of trilateral cooperation in the island make the establishment of such a Committee unnecessary at the current stage”, OEB said.
Heads of OEB’s and OKE’S representation was Chairman, Viron Kranidiotis and Chairman, Nicolaos Analytis respectively.
