Oct. tourist revenues drop 12%

According to CYSTAT data released on Tuesday, tourist revenues for October 2003 have showed a decline of 12.2% to £112.4 million against £128 million in the corresponding period of 2002.

For January-October, tourist revenues recorded a drop of 10.7% to £993 million compared to £1,045 million in the corresponding period of 2002.

On Friday, CYSTAT proceeded to an upward revision of the tourist arrivals for October. Tourist arrivals finally dropped by 1.4% to reach 272 thousand compared to 276 thousand in 2002, while tourist arrivals for January-October fell by 6%.
