The number of investments funds in Cyprus increased in the third quarter of 2020, according to data released Tuesday by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
The number of reporting entities rose by 4.5% to 208 from 199 in the end of the second quarter.
Compared to September 2019, investment organizations increased by 25.3%, since their total number was then 166.
At the same time their total assets declined by approximately 2.7% to €5,602.7 million in September 2020, compared with €5,760.6 million in June 2020.
Compared to the third quarter of 2019 (€ 5,686.3) the assets declined by 1.5%.
By nature of investments, in September 2020 € 1.97 billion of total assets were invested in equity, €697 million in real estate, € 626 million in mixed funds, € 180.8 million in bonds and € 2.13 billion other investments.
