Monarch Airlines launched a new Larnaca – Birmingham itinerary from March, promoting Cyprus’s accessibility via air connections.
In an announcement released today, the CTO said that the flights will be launched on March 29, 2009 and will be executed every Wednesday and Sunday. “Via this itinerary, Cyprus will be connected with all four UK airports (Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester).
The CTO also referred to other airlines such as Easyjet, Sky-Europe, Flyglobespan, Jazeera, Lufthansa and Emirates, which have recently inaugurated itineraries to and from Cyprus or have expanded their schedule.
Within the framework of its strategic targets, the CTO will continue “to give special emphasis to the improvement of Cyprus’s accessibility via the encouragement of the airlines that already serve Cyprus to expand their flights schedule and via the effort to attract new airlines”.
“Towards this direction, the CTO will announce soon a specific plan for the development of new air connections”, the announcement concluded.
