The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) announced on Tuesday a new call for the "Co-Develop" funding programme, with a total budget of €6 million, aimed at better leveraging resources and apply innovative solutions to real problems.
As stated, the primary goal of the programme is to link the research community with industry in the fields of digital technologies, advanced agri-food materials, health, and the environment. It also seeks to exploit existing know-how that will contribute to strengthening the economy's competitiveness and improving the quality of life in Cyprus.
According to the Foundation, maximum funding per project is €600,000 and proposals for collaborative research and development of technological solutions are expected to be funded. It is added that projects are expected to be implemented by domestic consortia consisting of at least one enterprise and one research organisation.
It is noted that organisations selected for funding can make use of the free support services and knowledge transfer tools provided by the Foundation under the Central Knowledge Transfer Office.
The project is funded by the Cohesion Policy Programme "THALIA 2021-2027" and the European Regional Development Fund. Proposals are submitted through the IRIS platform of the Foundation and the deadline is 22 November at 13:00.
