Bank of Cyprus Senior General Manager, Nicolas Karydas is on a forced leave since last Friday, until the completion of the investigations on the leak of confidential or secret documents that have to do with the customers of the Group.
The issue was brought up by newspaper “Phileleftheros” today.
“The administration and management of the Group deemed it necessary to grant a forced leave to Mr. Karydas, within the framework of the investigations carried out for the leak of documents concerning customers of Bank of Cyprus in the surveys conducted for leaking confidential documents relating to customers of Bank of Cyprus”, CEO, Yiannis Kypri told StockWatch in the morning.
According to Mr. Kypri, the decision aims to facilitate the investigating work.
“Mr. Karydas is on a forced leave but with full pay”, he added.
“If nothing is found against Mr. Karydas, he will return to his duties normally, he concluded.
