He successfully lured foreign businesses – including high-tech giants – has accelerated the economy to bring investment grade status, and now Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said his top priority is raising wages, cutting taxes and adding jobs.
With surveys showing Greeks are anxious about housing costs and food prices, despite his administration getting supermarkets to hold the line on 51 essential items, Mitsotakis told his ministers in a Cabinet meeting that his sights are setting on lifting disposable incomes.
