The meeting on the Technological Park at Pentakomo-Limassol took place on Thursday in the presence of Commerce Minister, Antonis Paschalides and Interior Minister, Neoclis Silikiotis, as well as other officials.

According to the CNA, in his statements after the meeting, Mr. Paschalides said that the competent committee was given certain instructions and the next meeting will take the final decision, which will be submitted to the Council of Ministers.

Mr. Paschalides said that the idea proceeds but the park will cover less space.

“We tried to have a part for productive purposes only in a smaller space and we gave emphasis to the high tech companies to help in research and innovation”, he added.

Mr. Paschalides said that a part of the land will be returned to the former owners, who have already been informed on the issue.

“Many big companies have already expressed their interest in participating”, he concluded.
