More than 250 Russian delegates from Moscow and other regions of Russia attended the Russian-Cyprus Business & Investment Forum which was succesfully completed on February 10th 2012, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Limassol.
The International Business Banking & Russia division of Marfin Popular Bank was the sponsor of this event which was co-organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation and the Business Council for cooperation with Cyprus (in Russia) .
The event was aiming at promoting Cyprus favourable positioning as a major international business center.
It focused on analyzing and highlighting all facts which prove that Cyprus retains its competitive edge in the financial services sector and a range of other important reasons and prospects that render Cyprus an ideal place for investment and the conduct of business activity.
Mr. Miltos Michaelas, the director of the International Business Banking & Russia division of Marfin Popular Bank addressed the conference with a speech on “ The Cyprus Banking System – You can Bank on it ” focusing on the strategic and economic analysis of Cyprus in view of its expanding role as an international business centre, an exploration of the 100 year old banking system in Cyprus that has shown resilience in crises.
