Τhe CSE general index ended with marginal losses of 0.8% this week reaching 86 points due to lack of investment interest and due to the absence of important corporate developments – except for the CSE’s decision to suspend trading of Avacom Computer and Avacom Net securities. According to CSE’s announcements, the two companies are off the trading floor so that ANS is able to inform investors about negotiations for possible repurchase of a majority share in the company by another Organization.

The FTSE 20 index had significant losses that reached 1.3% and it fell to 343.5, while volume totaled £309 thousand.

The most marketable share today was the Bank of Cyprus with a turnover of 20.3% . It closed at £1.29 and with a loss of 0.8%. Today’s closing for BOC is the lowest within the last three years. Popular Bank fell to £1.10 with 16.5% of the volume and losses that reached 2.7%. The shares of Louis (6.2%) and Libra (5.6%) were amongst volume leaders. LCL’s closing was 14.6 cent and –1.4% and LHG’s 49.4 cent with profits of 4.2%.

The following securities had considerable turnover: Xenos (3.6%), CLR Inv. (3.3%), Kostas Michaelides (3.2%), Elma (2.9%) and DAM of Bank of Cyprus (2.5%).

Elma had the greatest losses, losing yesterday’s profits and falling to 8.5 cent. BOCw’s closing was 22.8 cent and –4.6%, KMC 75 cent and –2.6%, CLL 7.7 cent and –2.5% and XEN 22.1 cent and –0.5%.

The volume of the Hellenic Bank was 2.3% closing to 71 cent and losing 1.4%. SAFS had also great losses that reached 6.4 cent and mobility 1.9%.

From all negotiable securities, 28 raised, 45 fell and 19 remained stable.
