Limassol Cooperative Savings Bank announced at a press conference on Wednesday its contribution of €2 million for the construction of the new Patticheio Center for the Elderly.
According to the CNA, Limassol Mayor, Andreas Christou thanked the Cooperative and said that this contribution solves a big problem, since the building at the old Limassol Hospital has been given to the Technological University of Cyprus.
The new building will be ready in three years (the land belongs to Limassol City Council) and is almost half kilometer way from the old building.
The Patticheio Center for the Elderly is one of the best of its kind in Cyprus and its aim is to socialize its members and to entertain the elderly so that they continue to be active members of the society.
At the same time, the Administration of the Limassol Coo Savings Bank announced the increase in the annual subsidy to the Center and expressed its certainty that the services to its members will be improved significantly.
