Larnaca International Airport is on full readiness to respond to the emergency situation following the Hamas attacks in Israel. At the same time, it has been serving thousands of Israelis and foreign citizens since Sunday.

According to information obtained by CNA, the situation at Larnaca Airport is dynamic and changing as flights are continuously added to and from Ben Gurion Airport, transporting passengers to the island.

According to the same information, Larnaca Airport is in "full readiness to respond to an emergency situation, providing assistance at all levels and handling requests from both airlines and passengers".

The same sources noted that passengers traveling to and from Larnaca should already have airline tickets, as it is impossible for passengers to purchase tickets at the airport due to flights being fully booked.

Since Sunday, Larnaca Airport has become a transit point for thousands of Israeli citizens and foreign nationals, who are staying in the city's hotels, awaiting to return to their home country to be reunited with their families or return to their homeland.

Security measures, both inside and outside Larnaca International Airport are increased by both the police and members of the National Guard. Depending on the passenger traffic various posts at the airport are reinforced with additional personnel.

At the same time, security measures have increased at the Synagogue in Larnaca, at the Rabbi's house, at hotels where Israelis stay, and at various locations of Israeli interest, with a strong police presence and mobile patrols.
