Labour Min: Fines to shopkeepers for Christmas opening hours

The Labour Ministry announced on Friday that all shopkeepers who will not comply with the Christmas opening hours will be imposed fines of £2000 or even imprisonment.
In its announcement, the Ministry emphasized that certain stores already organize Christmas events, however, “these events must be in line with the opening hours”.
The new opening hours will be effective from December 12 to December 31 and are as follows:
Monday – Sunday: until 8.00 pm
24/12 and 31/12: until 7.00 pm
25/12 and 26/12: closed
Offenders will be prosecuted.
