Information service activities recorded an increase of 57.6% during the first nine months of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, according to data published by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Wednesday, regarding the Turnover Value Index of services.
During the period January-September 2024, increases relative to the corresponding period of 2023 were observed in the Turnover Value Indices of administrative and support service activities (9.8%), information and communication (8.3%), accommodation and food service activities (7.8%), real estate activities (6.7%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (2%).
By division of economic activity, the largest increase recorded during the first nine months of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023 was in information service activities (57.6%), security and investigation activities (14.5%) and office administrative, office support and other business support activities (14%).
Legal and accounting activities recorded a decrease of 3% during this period.
The Turnover Value Index during the third quarter of 2024 recorded increases in the sectors of real estate activities (11.5%), information and communication activities (8%), accommodation and food service activities (6.4%), administrative and support service activities (5.7%) and professional, scientific and technical activities (4.6%) compared to the corresponding quarter of 2023.
By division of economic activity, the largest increase in the third quarter of 2024, compared to the same quarter of 2023 was in information service activities (42%), in real estate activities (11.5%) and in security and investigation activities (11.3%).
