In February 2022, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 144.7 units (base 2015=100), recording an increase of 13.4% compared to February 2021, according to data published by Statistical Service.
In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for February 2022 reached 143.6 units, recording an increase of 5.7% compared to February 2021. The sector with the highest increase was the manufacture of Textiles, Wearing Apparel and Leather Products, recording an increase of 41.7%, in comparison to February 2021.

Increases were also noted in the sectors of electricity supply (61.4%), water supply and materials recovery (33.2%) and mining and quarrying (5.2%).
For the period January-February 2022, the index recorded an increase of 19.9% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
