Her office is receiving more complaints about voter disturbance by parties or the staff of presidential candidates for the runoff of the presidential elections in comparison with the first round of the elections, Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Irene Loizidou Nikolaidou said on Sunday.
No violation was detected, on the other hand, regarding the instructions given by her office, as regards not announcing the identity card number of the voter and the information the representatives of parties and candidates’ campaign staff are allowed to possess, during the voting, Loizidou told CNA.
The Commissioner, said that, unlike the first round of the presidential election, during the second round on February 12, there have been increased complaints about voter disturbance with phone calls and messages from parties or candidates’ campaign staff.
She added that complaints are being recorded and addressed.
