House plenary to vote on Friday bills addressing coronavirus pandemic

Political party leaders or representatives in a teleconference on Wednesday, chaired by House President Demetris Syllouris, discussed the forthcoming submission before the parliament of a set of bills aiming at addressing the crisis caused by COVID-19 pandemic and the process of their examination by the parliament, and decided that the House plenary will convene on Friday afternoon, while a teleconference of the House Finance Committee will take place earlier, on Friday morning.

Parliamentary parties and competent ministries will hold a teleconference on Thursday at 1800 to review the laws drafted by the government that will be approved by the Council of Ministers which will convene earlier on the same day.

The House plenary will convene at 1800 on Friday for a closed meeting that will last only a few minutes to vote the bills. Precautionary measures will be taken during the meeting.
