Latest passenger figures indicate that over 6,600,000 passengers have travelled through Larnaka and Pafos International Airports combined in the year to date to the end of November 2007, a figure which puts Cyprus on track for a new record for 2007, with just under 7 million passengers. The previous record was in 2005 with 6,781,643 passengers. Over five million passengers have travelled through Larnaka International Airport in the eleven months to the end of November - a figure higher than the total yearly figure for 2006.
Hermes Airports Ltd recorded another strong month in November for passenger traffic. Nearly 365,000 passengers travelled through the two airports combined, representing a 4.3% increase on November 2006. At Larnaka International Airport, passenger traffic increased by more than 7% on November 2006.
