Finance Minister, Charilaos Stavrakis announced on Friday that the government will cut the consumer tax on heating oil to 2 cents from 10 cents with effect from November 1, 2008.
In his statements after the talks on the state budget by the House Finance Committee, Mr. Stavrakis said that the relevant bill will be approved by the Council of Ministers in the next few days, before the President’s departure to China.
After its approval by the Council of Ministers, the bill will be forwarded to the House of Representatives.
