The obligatory heat insulation to all buildings will reduce their energy needs by 40%. From December 21, all new buildings will be able to secure a license only if they use heat insulations pursuant to the specific requirements of the Ministerial Decree.
According to a Commerce Ministry announcement, the Council of Minister decided to enforce partly the Law on the Regulation of the Energy Efficiency 2006.
On the same day, the government will also put in effect the “Streets and Buildings Regulations 2006” with the publication of the decree on the Minimum Energy Efficiency of the Building and the decree of the Calculation of the Energy Efficiency Methodology in the Gazette.
The Ministry stresses that with the proper heat insulation, the proper planning and the use of proper material, the energy needs will be reduced significantly (40%). This will lead to energy saving and lower CO2 emissions to the environment, as well as to the improvement of the heating conditions.
The heat insulation also reduces the expenses for the maintenance of a building, due to the protection of the material from external conditions.
