Half of the total 250 gas station operating in Cyprus were caught to go against the law during the last increase in fuel prices, with Limassol ranking first in expensiveness.
According to Commerce Minister, Antonis Paschalides, the price observatory of fuel has been completed and 122 gas station owners sold fuel at higher prices. “Most of them were in Limassol”, he said.
The Minister also noted that he is going to have a meeting with the gas station owners association on Tuesday to ask for explanation on the latest developments. “The Ministry intends to impose fines after the end of the investigation”, the Minister added.
