The fire that broke out two hours ago at the sausage factory of Gregoriou at the industrial area of Ipsonas in Limassol has damaged the plant completely. According to the CNA, the fire brigade is currently trying to put fire under control. More than ten fire tenders have been sent at the spot and fire tenders of the British Bases also participate in the efforts. No employer was at risk.

The traffic in the Paphos-Limassol highway has been restored while both lanes of Limassol-Paphos highway are still closed.

The ravages by the fire were a blow for the company, since Gregoriou supplies the market with goods of more than £10 million a year and has the largest stake in the market. It was established in 1976 and is situated in Ipsonas since 1978.
