It hasn’t fully filtered down to households and the lower-income but Greece’s economy is continuing to accelerate after years in crisis, expected to grow 2.3 percent in the second quarter of 2024.
The New Democracy government has forecast a rate of 2.5 percent for the whole year on the back of what’s likely a second straight record-busting year for tourism that could bring in 21 billion euros ($23.18) in revenues.
