The soaring price of olive oil in Greece – one its most treasured commodities – that’s been so high many households have turned to alternatives, is expected to drop with a better production expected in 2024.
“According to estimates, this year’s olive production will reach between 220-230 thousand tons,” General-Director of the Association of Greek Olive Oil Standardization Industries SEVITEL, George Economou, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA).
