Government considers that the Cooperation Program in the field of Education for the years 2023-2027 between Cyprus and Greece signed on Monday in Nicosia between the Education Ministers of the two countries lays "even stronger foundations for the cooperation between Cyprus and Greece in education".
Speaking on Tuesday during the regular media briefing, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis said that the signing of the Program "establishes even more solid foundations and ensures, on the one hand, strengthening of the cooperation of the two Ministries on issues of mutual interest at the primary, secondary and higher education levels and expands, on the other hand, the areas of cooperation, while being adapted to the requirements of modern reality and new digital era."
The Spokesman also noted that in the context of the visit of the Greek Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis and due to his previous capacity as Minister of Digital Policy, the exchange of know-how regarding the implementation of the very successful example of gov.gr was also discussed.
As he added technical meetings take place on Tuesday at the Deputy Ministry of Innovation and Digital Policy to implement a similar service in Cyprus.
"The Greek Government has made great progress in recent years in terms of the digital transition, and the exchange of know-how and good practices has also been discussed during the recent Cyprus-Greece Intergovernmental Summit held in November in Athens," he added.
