After the announcement of the Eurobarometer results according to which the majority of the G/C does not believe that Cyprus has been benefited by the EU accession, government Spokesman, Giorgos Lillikas said that this might be linked to the Cyprus issue and the new taxes.
“Although I have not examined the survey in depth, this reaction is possibly attributable to the expectations for the Cyprus problem and the fact that new taxes have been imposed after the entry”, he said.
